Gorgeous and Functional: The Versatility of Polished Plasters in Kitchen Spaces

Polished plasters are beautiful, easy to maintain, and have wide usability. Where can we use them in the kitchen? Benjamin Raich, the Sales Director of Němec s.r.o., will reveal it to us.

The most common use is between the lower and upper cabinets. They often appear in other parts of the kitchen as well, creating a nice connection throughout the space.

When I use polished plaster between the upper and lower cabinets, is the wall adequately protected?

Definitely. It depends on whether you have a cement-based polished plaster that needs to be sealed or an epoxy one that doesn't require sealing. The epoxy polished plaster itself is sufficiently durable.

How long does such polished plaster last?

If it doesn't get damaged mechanically, it can last for a really long time. From my own experience, I know it can last as long as you continue to enjoy it.

And how do you maintain it?

Quite simply. All you need is lukewarm water, dish soap and a sponge. No special products are needed.

Where else can I use polished plaster?

The current trend is to use it on furniture. For example, on kitchen cabinet doors.

Does that mean even on the dining table?

It's possible. In that case, I would recommend using the Betonepox® Classic epoxy-based polished plaster because it is the only one that is sufficiently resistant. Water or spilled wine won't harm it. In fact, its perfect properties are also evident from the fact that it can be used on floors.

But we'll talk more about that in the next article.
